Israel launches eight attacks on Syrian military airport in Idlib

Damascus, Aug 18 (Prensa Latina) Israeli fighter jets launched eight airstrikes against the runway of the Abu al-Duhur military airport in Syria's Idlib province, causing material damage, a military source reported.

The Syrian state-run channel Al-Ikhbariya quoted a military source who specified that the bombings hit the airport’s infrastructure. The airport is located in the eastern rural area of Idlib, in northwestern Syria.

“Aircraft from the Israeli occupation launched eight attacks against the airport runway with eight airstrikes this morning,” the source stated.

The source added that the attack caused material damage to the airport facilities, the extent of which was not specified, but no casualties were reported.

So far, neither Syrian nor Israeli authorities have issued official comments on the attack.

Israel has carried out repeated attacks against Syrian territory and, after the fall of the previous government, expanded its operations against weapons depots, missile sites, and other strategic military installations in various parts of the country.
