“Russia and China have long been developing energy cooperation that grows stronger year by year,” Rudenko said in remarks made this Wednesday to the media outlet NEWS.ru.
The diplomat noted that Russia remains the leading supplier of oil and natural gas to China and also ranks among the top suppliers of coal and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
He also highlighted that the Power of Siberia (*Sila Sibiri*) pipeline is operating at full capacity and the Power of Baikal (*Sila Baikala*) project is being advanced. Likewise, construction of the China-Russia Far East gas pipeline is progressing.
“Thus, we maintain a regular and substantive dialogue with our Chinese partners regarding the entire spectrum of the energy agenda,” the Russian deputy foreign minister emphasized.
This September in Vladivostok, coinciding with the Eastern Economic Forum, the 23rd meeting of the Russia-China Intergovernmental Commission on Energy Cooperation took place, attended by the deputy prime ministers of both countries.
