“It was the right move for the Cuban delegation at the assembly to leave the auditorium and leave Trump speaking to an empty room,” stated Pavel Yabar, the popular host of Yachay Wasi (*yachay wasi* means “school” in the Quechua language).
He described Trump as a “state boss” and an instrument of economic interests who presumes to claim that Cuba is a failed state.
“He has shown the world that he represents a declining, plundering, and predatory empire that has publicly insulted a country that resists—the sovereign island of Cuba, which continues the struggle,” he declared.
He asked his viewers: “What harm does Cuba do to the world? What harm does Cuba do to South America, to the Americas, to the continent, and to the planet in general?” He noted that what the Caribbean nation does is demonstrate that there is another way to organize a country.
Yabar added that imperialists can only survive through plunder, interference, invasion, and war, because that is the only way they know how to do business and make money.
