The outlet reported that authorities are considering various scenarios, including a unilateral offensive against Iran with U.S. authorization, a joint operation with Washington, or a response to potential missile launches from Iranian territory.
According to the report, Israel is maintaining close contact with the U.S. military and with countries that have been targets of Iranian attacks, including the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
The broadcaster cited an Israeli source who described the likelihood of the country launching a military operation against Iran before the parliamentary elections as low.
Meanwhile, Channel 13 reported that U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have held urgent talks in recent weeks regarding the possibility of launching new attacks against Iran.
However, security officials told the network that no definitive decision had been made. One of them noted that Netanyahu had stated he did not wish to carry out a military operation before the elections.
Additionally, Israeli media reported that Trump received five proposals to attack Iran and the Houthis in Yemen but rejected them. The U.S. president had also previously denied reports regarding the drafting of new attack plans ahead of his country’s midterm legislative elections, scheduled for November.
