The exhibition, hosted at the Bayado Gallery—part of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets in Holguin—brings together more than 20 works, including photography, oil paintings on canvas, metalwork, and stone carvings.
Local artists such as Carlos Rafael Diaz, Vladimir Sanchez Perez, and Frank Danilo Sarmiento contributed to this aesthetic project, which is dedicated to the inclusive and social vision of the Commander-in-Chief.
During the opening, Victor Aguilera, vice president of the Union of Historians of Cuba for the region, highlighted Fidel Castro’s enduring connection to intellectuals and national culture.
Through this exhibition in the eastern province, the cultural event commemorates a patriotic occasion by intertwining contemporary visual art with the social legacy of the revolutionary leader—a legacy explored here through intimate perspectives, such as those concerning family and childhood.
