The Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV-F18), carrying the satellite, lifted off on Friday night from the Second Launch Pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) reported.
NVS-03 is ISRO’s second-generation third satellite series and is designed to ensure continuity and improve the availability of navigation services under the indigenous NavIC system.
These advancements will strengthen India’s independent positioning, navigation, and timing capabilities for civil, strategic, and security applications.
