On November 2, the Foreign Minister will address the forum, which in the last three decades has witnessed the international community’s rejection of the economic, commercial and financial siege in force for more than 60 years and reinforced to unprecedented levels in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to information released by the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the draft resolution to be submitted to the Assembly for the 31st time, calls for the lifting of the unilateral coercive measures against the Caribbean nation, whose economic damages, estimated at current prices, amount to 159,84.3 billion dollars and 1,337,57 billion, taking into account the behavior of the dollar against the value of gold in the international market.
In 2022, the resolution presented by Cuba was approved with 185 votes in favor and 2 against (United States and Israel).
