This was announced by the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, which together with the National Committee for Mobilization of Voluntary Donation, transfusion centers and local branches of the Red Cross will carry out the initiative until July 30.
According to the organizers of the campaign, 25 thousand donations are expected to be received during the main events, while the remaining 75 thousand should be collected in local donation days organized throughout the country.
The “Red Itinerary” is already a national symbol of hope and solidarity, with a cumulative impact of nearly one million units of blood collected since 2013, Deputy Health Minister Tran Van Thuan highlighted at the ceremony that launched this humanitarian movement.
Van Thuan also proposed integrating the “Drops of Red Blood” summer campaign into this program, in order to expand its reach with the participation of public agencies, businesses and villagers.
In similar terms, the director of the Central Institute of Hematology, Dr. Nguyen Ha Thanh, stated, according to the VNA news agency, that “the ”Red Itinerary“ has been consolidated as the largest and most effective donation campaign in the country, marking a milestone in more than three decades of solidarity mobilization”.
