From September 8 to November 30, workers are expected to enrich the law with their opinions before its presentation to the National People’s Power Assembly (Parliament).
Cuban Workers Confederation (CTC)’s General Secretary Ulises Guilarte stated that this process is of great importance for those workplaces, as it reaffirms their participation in the country’s fate.
Training seminars for union leaders, along with jurists and representatives of organizations and institutions, will be held from June 10 to 20 at the provincial level and from June 17 to 30 at the municipal level to guarantee success in those consultations.
Labor and Social Security Minister Marta Elena Feito informed that adjustments are still being made to the Code, which is currently in its 16th version, based on recommendations of organizations, universities, and the trade union movement, as noted by the Cuban News Agency (ACN).
