Prabowo highlighted the historical exploitation of Indonesia’s natural wealth, stating that colonial powers extracted up to $31 trillion over centuries, a figure 18 times higher than the country’s current Gross Domestic Product.
He stressed that independent management of national resources could propel Indonesia to global economic prominence.
He also placed great expectations on the emerging generation of Indonesian technocrats, whom he sees as the drivers of economic transformation in the next 25 years.
