Araghchi affirmed that military operations to punish Israel for its aggression continued until shortly before the ceasefire was implemented in early Tuesday.
The head of Iranian diplomacy recalled that, “Israel launched the war on Iran, not the other way around.”
Shortly before, the foreign minister asserted on the same social platform that his government would only stop the war if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu halted the escalation.
Netanyahu initiated the conflict on June 13 after ordering a military offensive that provoked a response from Tehran and a wave of international condemnation for the new Israeli attack in the region.
