Extinguishing efforts face serious difficulties due to the presence of strong winds and unexploded mines and munitions, remnants of the armed conflict.
So far, it is estimated that more than 15,000 hectares have been consumed by the flames.
Given the magnitude of the disaster, several countries in the region have sent support in a joint effort to control the emergency.
Ground equipment and aircraft from Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Turkey are actively involved in the extinguishing operations.
The first batch of aid sent by Qatar arrived at Aleppo international airport today, in support of the efforts of the Syrian Ministry of Emergencies and Disaster Management.
The shipment includes two specialized helicopters of the Qatar Air Force, fire trucks, ambulances and logistic equipment.
Including, a 100-member contingent of the Qatar Civil Defense has been deployed to the area, together with a 35-person air task force to coordinate operations from the air.
A medical team was also involved to deal with possible emergencies during the extinguishing work.
Despite international support and the tireless work of emergency teams, Syrian Civil Defense warned that the situation remains fragile due to changing weather conditions and the continuing risk of explosions from unexploded devices.
On that occasion, he issued an appeal to the population to stay away from the affected areas and strictly follow the safety instructions issued by the authorities.
