In a meeting between Angolan Ambassador to Cuba, Carlos Cruz de Lemos Sardinha Dias, and Deputy Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Minister Deborah Rivas, both parties showed interest in exploring business opportunities and strengthening and consolidating strategic alliances in several sectors.

According to a Foreign Ministry statement, to which Prensa Latina had access, the meeting in Havana, the capital of Cuba, was an opportunity to announce the preparations for the 16th Intergovernmental Commission, which is scheduled to be held in Luanda. The previous event took place in that Caribbean capital in April 2023.

During the meeting, Rivas delivered the Angolan diplomat an official invitation addressed to Industry and Commerce Minister Rui Miguens de Oliveira to attend the next edition of the Havana International Fair (FIHAV), scheduled from November 24 to 29, 2025.

The Cuban minister commented that her country seeks greater participation of Angolan entrepreneurs and companies to establish alliances and business contacts that contribute to the economic development of both countries.
