The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs denounced in a statement the military attacks against the civilian population of the territory, which, in a greater extent, affects women and children.
It also rejected the policy of forced displacement under the argument of creating a so-called “humanitarian city” in the south of the coastal enclave and warned about the consequences of the plan.
This project is facing harsh criticism from governments, the United Nations and several global NGOs.
The Foreign Ministry insisted on the urgent need to stop the war, which it considered “the right and most humane way to protect Palestinian civilians, guarantee the sustainable supply of aid in sufficient quantities and complete the necessary arrangements to start the relief and reconstruction” of Gaza.
He also called for the right of the Palestinian National Authority to govern the Strip, amid Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s attempts to sabotage that possibility.
As an integral part of Palestine, that territory must be run by our legitimate institutions, the Ministry stressed.
