In September last year, China and South Africa raised their relations to the level of a strategic partnership in all aspects.
Han noted that this opened a new chapter in building a community with a shared high-level future between the two countries.
The Chinese Vice President called on both sides to further implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, continuously deepen mutual political confidence, promote the development of high-quality bilateral cooperation and serve the modernization drive in both countries.
Mashatile, in turn, stated that South Africa attaches great importance to relations with China and firmly adheres to the ‘one China’ policy.
Noting that bilateral cooperation in trade, investment and other fields has made solid progress, the South African Vice-President stated that his country is ready to further implement the consensus reached by both sides and contribute to the development of China, as well as those of this country with the African continent.
