The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed in a statement that the Israeli government is working to thwart the international consensus on the need to implement the two-state solution.
It also warned of increased attacks by Israeli settlers on the population in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
The text denounced the marches of Israeli extremists in the Old City, led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, known for his far-right and anti-Arab stances.
The Foreign Ministry stated that Ben-Gvir’s raid this morning confirms that “the racist colonial plans to which our people are being subjected are part of an official government policy aimed at putting an end to the Palestinian cause.”
Given this situation, it called on the international community, and especially the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), to assume its legal and moral responsibilities to put an end to these crimes.
