The day before, President Yamandú Orsi adressed the issue with several ministers and Vice President Carolina Cosse.
This Saturday, the deputies and senators of the Broad Front (FA) will discuss the budget bill proposal, led by the Secretary of the Presidency, Alejandro Sanchez.
The executive branch’s proposal will be submitted to the Chamber of Deputies and is scheduled to begin discussion on September 3 in the Budget Committee, integrated with the Treasury Committee, with the appearance of officials from the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The expenditures and investments of the next budget will be in line with the Broad Front’s programmatic priorities and campaign announcements, as well as with the 63 commitments made by the Orsi administration.
“In general, all areas (ministries and agencies) have seen some increase, and the priority is children and adolescents,” sources cited by the publication Caras y Caretas said.
There will be a “differentiated policy” for education and children, the government assured.
