“We came as friends and allies,” she wrote.
The announcement comes during a summit at the White House that brought together Trump with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders, including the heads of state of France, Germany, and Italy.
Analysts say the guarantees could include long-term military supply commitments and cooperation in air defense, although disagreements persist over the exact scope.
Zelensky’s visit to Washington comes amid renewed diplomatic efforts, as Kyiv seeks to consolidate Western support amid the stalemate on the war front.
