In a message on the social network X, Salazar called for the mobilization of the popular masses to condemn Yankee interventionism in the region.

“No to Washington’s false excuse of combating drug trafficking,” the political leader expressed.

This week, the United States ordered the deployment of air and naval forces in the southern Caribbean Sea, near Venezuelan coasts, supposedly to confront threats from Latin American drug cartels.

Salazar condemned these provocative actions and expressed his solidarity with the government of constitutional president Nicolas Maduro and the Venezuelan people.
