In a statement, the leftist organization criticized the White House’s silence on the project, which the Islamic Resistance Movement accepted days ago but has so far been ignored by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Front considered Washington’s reluctance to announce its position on the proposal a negative signal and demonstrates “the falsity of President (Donald) Trump’s claims about his commitment to a ceasefire.”

It remembered that before winning the elections, Trump promised to end the war, which began 22 months ago.

The party also questioned Netanyahu’s “intransigence and moves” for refusing to accept the plan, which includes a 60-day truce, a prisoner exchange, the entry of more aid into Gaza, and a partial army withdrawal from the territory.

Furthermore, the DFLP rejected the displacement of the population to the south of the territory and to other countries, mostly after Netanyahu’s consultations with nations considered suitable to host two million Palestinian refugees, which is described as a crime and a challenge to the international community.

While mediators are holding talks to reach an agreement, even a partial one, as a prelude to ending the conflict, Netanyahu is presenting conditions of surrender and plans to invade Gaza City, it stressed.
