According to sources, an Israeli military unit, consisting of 11 vehicles and more than 60 troops, moved toward the town of Beit Jann, in western Damascus-Countryside, and took control of the Tal Bat Al-Warda hill, located on the slopes of Mount Hermon.
The operation included searches of civilian homes and led to the arrest of six Syrian citizens, according to official information.
In parallel, another Israeli force entered the town of Ain al-Abd, in the south of Quneitra province, where it entered the facilities of the al-Qantar military company, conducted inspections, and subsequently withdrew.
On the same day, occupation troops advanced toward the eastern region of Tal Ahmar and the town of Manshiat Swaysa, where they also carried out searches of homes in search of individuals believed to be wanted. These movements add to a series of recent incursions by Israeli forces in southern Syria.
Most recently, a patrol consisting of eight military vehicles entered the village of Abdeen, in the Yarmouk Basin, west of Dewraa, where they arrested three young men who were released hours later.
The ongoing Israeli military and intelligence operations in southwestern Syria constitute a repeated violation of national sovereignty and generate a climate of insecurity among the civilian population in areas near the separation line with the occupied Golan Heights.
Syrian authorities have denounced these actions as part of a policy of systematic aggression by Israel.
