Russian security forces prevent attack on FSB installation

Moscow, Aug 25 (Prensa Latina) The Federal Security Service (FSB) reported today that its officers detained today a resident of the Volgograd region who brought an explosive device to the institution's building in Crimea.

The FSB note stresses that a terrorist act planned by the Security Service of Ukraine against the officers of the Russian law enforcement agency was prevented in the Republic of Crimea.

The communication specifies that a 54-year-old Russian citizen, a resident of Volgograd, was detained, who in order to be returned money stolen as a result of telephone fraud, was involved in terrorist activities of the Ukrainian services through the use of the Telegram messaging service.

Following the instructions of a Ukrainian supervisor, she arrived in Crimea, where from a courier she took an Orthodox icon, on which an improvised explosive device was mounted, and brought it to the checkpoint of the building of the FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, the text specified.

During the inspection at the icon, an improvised explosive device with a high explosive charge with a capacity of one kilogram in TNT equivalent was found and neutralized.
