The law has more than 20 challenges filed by the National Union of Educators (UNE), the Association of Integration Organizations of the Popular and Solidarity Financial Sector, the Municipal Workers Union of Loja, among other organizations, and citizens.
They question both the form and content of the legal initiative, as they affirm, it infringes on constitutional rights.

The measure, which proposes changes to compensation for unfair dismissal and a new assessment method for public officials, sparked popular mobilizations nationwide.
Earlier this month, the Constitutional Court ruled to suspend this law partially, as well as the Intelligence Law and the National Solidarity Law.
