Members of Marea Palestina: Education against Genocide began an action in the lobby of the cultural institution supporting Gaza this Tuesday, where they are holding a protest to demand that the Spanish government approve the decree-law embargoing the sale of arms to Israel.
Along with demanding the severance of diplomatic relations with the Tel Aviv regime, Marea Palestina formed a permanent assembly.
Minister Rego, incidentally of Palestinian origin, expressed her commitment to working for the government to approve a decree embargoing the sale of arms to Israel.
“I have approached this assembly because it is important to recognize the role of organized civil society and the example of humanity being set in our country with all the mobilizations,” Rego told the press.
He remembered that the Sumar parliamentary group had already presented a parliamentary initiative regarding arms sales to Israel, which he considered “a fundamental political key.”
“We echo this demand and I have expressed my commitment to carrying it out (…) there is general agreement within the Government to end the genocide in Gaza,” he emphasized.
