Such a request is added to a series of demands addressed to the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) and to the Prime Minister, Alix Didier, who intend to hold general elections next November, but these actors consider that the favorable conditions to hold such a consultation do not exist.
Stanley Mesalier, head of the Indigenous Party and militant of the National Heritage political platform, commented that the members of the Presidential Transitional Council still do not inspire confidence, hence the country needs a new leadership with more than enough honesty, competence, patriotism and results oriented.
These incumbent rulers – according to Mesalier – must re-establish security throughout the country so that displaced people can return to their homes, roads are accessible and citizens can move freely.
It is necessary to reactivate the economy, in a context where less than one percent of the population can spend 10 dollars a day, Mesalier said, quoted by Le National newspaper.
