The Adwa Victory Memorial Museum and the Addis International Conference Center will host, the African Youth Climate Assembly (AYCA) for two days, the Non-State players Forum (NSF), the African Group of Negotiators, and the 13th Conference on Climate Change and Development in Africa (CCDA XIII).
The latter, under the theme “Empowering Africa’s Climate Action with Science, Finance, and a Just Transition,” is organized by Climate for Development in Africa (ClimDev-Africa), an inter-agency partnership between the African Union Commission (AUC), the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and the African Development Bank (ADB).
Also, in collaboration with the Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance and other partners, the conference brings together governments, academia and research communities, civil society, indigenous peoples, youth, and private sector actors to advance evidence-based and Africa-led climate action.
The meeting aims to unify and present a common agenda with investment potential that will boost resilience, promote green growth, and improve institutional capacity for effective participation in global negotiations on the issue.
