In statements to local media, the director of the organizing committee, Subhi Al-Dali, said that the event reflected confidence and hope for the future, and highlighted the country’s return to the regional and international scene, after years of war and blockade.
Based in the Damascus Fairgrounds, the fair had a numerous agenda of economic, technological, cultural and artistic activities to become a strategic platform for the promotion of investment opportunities and international cooperation.
Multiple contracts and memoranda of understanding were signed in key sectors such as industry, agriculture, energy, tourism and technology.
Al-Dali reported that efforts are being made to translate these agreements into concrete projects that contribute to the reconstruction process and sustainable development of the country.
Beyond the economic aspect, the fair offered a vibrant cultural and artistic program with evenings, shows and exhibitions that reaffirmed Damascus as a creative, resilient and vibrant city.
The success of the event strengthened integration between the public and private sectors, and lays the foundation for greater international participation in future editions of the fair.
