Three citizens searching for food were killed by the fire of soldiers near the Al-Tina aid center, southwest of the city of Khan Yunis, reported the news agency Safa.
The source stated that an elderly man was shot dead by uniformed soldiers at displaced persons’ tents in the nearby area of Al-Mawasi, declared a “safe zone” by the army, which however attacked it more than a hundred times, according to Palestinian data.
Meanwhile, Al-Awda Hospital announced that it received two dead and 17 wounded as a result of an Israeli attack on civilians at a humanitarian aid distribution point south of Wadi Gaza.
Safa pointed out that a six-year-old boy died this morning from his wounds received in a raid a few days ago in Deir al-Balah city.
The media reported that most of this Saturday’s victims were counted in the northern city of Gaza, the most populous of the coastal enclave.
One minor was killed and several persons were injured when artillery fired on a residential building near the Sheikh Radwan bridge, north-west of the town.
Six other citizens, including two children, were killed and many injured by bombs dropped by aircraft on the Al-Shati refugee camp near the metropolis, official news agency Wafa reported.
Relief teams moved four bodies of Palestinians who were killed by an Israeli shelling of the car they were travelling in near the Al-Tawam crossing to the Al-Shifa Medical Complex.
In early August, the Israeli security cabinet approved a plan put forward by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reoccupy the coastal enclave in several phases, the first of which will begin with Gaza City and surrounding areas, despite international rejection of the move.
To this end, the Armed Forces (IDF) began calling in about 60,000 reservists who will participate in the operation, which will include up to five divisions.
