The summit, co-sponsored by Islamabad, was convened in response to Israeli airstrikes on Qatar, the expansion of Tel Aviv settlements in the occupied West Bank and the forced displacement of Palestinian families, The Nation reported.
The Foreign Ministry recently reaffirmed the great importance that Pakistan attaches to its ties with Qatar and its strong condemnation of Israel’s continued aggression against countries in the region.
For his part, President Mohamed Muizzu will deliver a statement at the Summit that reflects the Falkland Island’s unwavering solidarity with Qatar and reinforces its commitment to defending the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, official sources confirmed.
It will also reiterate the Islands’ call for urgent and collective international action to put an end to the violence and atrocities committed by Israel in the region.
The Arab-Islamic Emergency Summit brings together the leaders of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at a crucial moment for the Islamic world.
