A statement released by CorpoElec described this infrastructure as “vitally important for the flow of electrical energy in the country.”
The text underscored that this extremist attack seeks to deprive the Venezuelan people of electricity service, as part of a fascist strategy aimed at destabilizing peace and national unity, which, it asserted, will prevail in the face of external threats.
The statement noted that, as President Nicolas Maduro denounced, “These attacks are a expression of the electrical war, boosted by groups operating at the service of dark interests and destabilizing agendas.”
The document emphasized that the goal is clear by intending to disrupt national harmony in a scenario in which the US empire “threatens sovereignty with a military and psychological escalation.”
The release stated that, in compliance with the Organic Law of the Electrical System and Service, CorpoElec immediately activated protection and response mechanisms, “guaranteeing both the progressive restoration of service and the integrity of the electrical infrastructure.”
