Mexican authorities investigate case of missing Colombians

Mexico City, Sep 22 (Prensa Latina) Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum affirmed that the case of two missing Colombians in Mexico City is being investigated, responding to a question about that country's request for help in locating them.

“The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) immediately took note. There is a complaint in the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City. Not in Sonora, as the Colombian president said,” the president asserted during her regular press conference.

Regarding whether she communicated directly with the president of the South American country, Gustavo Petro, who asked Sheinbaum to contribute to the search, the president pointed out that she did not contact him, but that the foreign ministries of both countries did.

He added that inquiries are already being conducted by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, and the Attorney General’s Office in this capital to determine the identity of these individuals, the missing person report, and the investigation into the case.

In a message on his social media account X, Petro yesterday asked Sheinbaum and the diplomatic corps of his country accredited to the United States to contribute to the search for artist Bayron Sanchez and his teammate Jorge Herrera.

B-King, 31, was born in the department of Norte de Santander, but grew up in the city of Medellin, the birthplace of several exponents of Colombian reggaeton.

He is the performer of songs such as “Destino,” “Me necesita” (You Need Me), and “Made in Cali,” which earned him popularity in the urban music scene.
