The text delivered to the ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic, Cesar Trompiz, deplores Washington’s constant interference and reaffirms the brotherhood between the two peoples.
“Venezuela has become a symbol of resistance and dignity in Latin America, firmly confronting the attempts at intervention promoted by the United States government,” the document states.
The activists reaffirm a firm stance of Latin American solidarity by highlighting the leadership of the homeland of El Libertador Simon Bolivar and Commander Hugo Chavez in defending the sovereignty of Latin America and the Caribbean.
They also emphasize the need to maintain a critical view of the negative role of the northern power in the history of the continent from the late 19th century to the most recent times.
In thanking the Civic Committee for its support, Ambassador Trompiz noted that President Nicolas Maduro has described the relationship with Bolivia as special and has expressed his gratitude for the constant expressions of solidarity from the Bolivian people, its institutions, and its president, Luis Arce, “in the face of the threats and attacks our people are suffering these days.”
