The actress shared her professional experience with colleagues from Argentina, Brazil, India, China, Cuba, Mauritania, Tunisia, South Africa, and other countries, from her studies at the Russian Institute of Performing Arts to her work as artistic director of a workshop at the same institution and as an actress at Vladimir Mayakovski Academic Theatre in Moscow.
She also presented the guests with the latest trends and practices in Russian theatre: “We are special people, just like artists or mathematicians. Everyone has their own path. It’s important for young people to hear that there are doubts and difficulties, but that these can be overcome. And how do you do it? With humor, with work, with effort, and perseverance.”
For many colleagues, the encounter was a valuable intercultural professional exchange experience. This was expressed by Indian theater actor Abhinav Banerjee.
“When we come to Russia and talk with people who truly put their soul into their performances, it helps us understand the world’s best practices in theater. It develops us as artists, and we hope to take some of that experience with us,” he added. The event was part of the “Interussia” internship program in the field of theater.
