The institution also denounced in a statement the forced disappearance of many inmates, especially those arrested in Gaza Strip, hundreds of whom are held in secret camps without legal recognition of their status.
It affirmed that since the beginning of the new phase of the conflict two years ago, the Israel Prison Service (IPS) has been committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against imprisoned Palestinians.
It underscored that those centers have become mass graves, where prisoners are executed by depriving them of food, medicine, and medical treatment.
Given this situation, the institution renewed its call to international and human rights organizations, particularly the Red Cross and the United Nations, to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities toward Palestinian prisoners.
The Israeli NGO HaMoked revealed in early September that the total number of Palestinian prisoners had surpassed 11,000, a record number in the last 23 months.
