“This Thursday, October 16, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov met with the Cuban Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary-designate to Russia, who presented copies of his credentials,” the Foreign Ministry’s press release stated.
In addition, the diplomatic ministry added that the parties discussed the development of cooperation in the political, commercial-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as the deepening of interaction in the international arena.
Previously, this position was held by Julio Antonio Garmendía since 2020.
At the meeting with Ryabkov on September 22, the Cuban diplomat announced the conclusion of his work in Moscow, the statement noted.
