Afghan Minister of Borders and Tribal Affairs, Noorullah Noori, and Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, also analyzed alternatives to improve coordination between Kabul and Tehran, curb smuggling, and update border demarcation markers.
According to the news agency, Noori reaffirmed Afghanistan’s commitment to the principle of genuine cooperation based on good-neighborly relations, mutual respect, and the resolution of common problems.
He also underscored that Kabul has taken strong steps to prevent smuggling.
The Afghan minister also expressed his country’s willingness to renew border signs and pledged that the technical teams of both countries would soon resume their meetings to begin practical work.
