Of a total of 40,473 ballot boxes, 40,319 are operating normally, the electoral authority stated.

Authorities issued special advisories for some areas of the country where a drastic increase in temperature is expected and recommended avoiding voting during peak sun hours.
Polling stations will close at 6:00 p.m. (local time), unless there are people waiting to cast their votes at that time.
