Vento met with Sports Minister and President of the Chinese Olympic Committee, Gao Zhidan, and both agreed on the excellent relations between the two countries and highlighted the more than six decades of sports cooperation.
Gao Zhidan said, “May sports continue to grow as a exoresion of the ties that have united both Parties, Governments, and peoples for 65 years, sharing knowledge and identifying concrete actions that will enhance the next 60 years of sports relations.”
Cuban Ambassador to China, Alberto Blanco Silva, and Roberto Leon Richards, President of the Cuban Olympic Committee, also attended the meeting.
Diplomatic sources informed that both sides reviewed the fluid bilateral exchanges maintained over the last six decades.
They also underscored that these alliances continue to strengthen to contribute to building a shared future between Cuba and China, with benefits for the sports movement in both countries.
