The visit exemplifies the progress and implementation of the consensus reached in the Exchange and Cooperation Agreement, the first of its kind signed between the Provincial Committees of the CPC in Hunan and the PCC in Artemisa.

Additionally, Cuba welcomes the possibility of signing a sister city agreement between Hunan and Holguin, territories with potentialities for cooperation in tourism and mining, and are the birthplaces of Mao Zedong and Fidel Castro, the historical leaders of both socialist revolutions.
