Israeli forces storm two Syrian towns

Damascus, Dec 4 (Prensa Latina) An Israeli occupation army unit stormed the villages of Al-Samadaniah Al-Sharquieh and Al-Ajraf, located in the northern part of Syria's Quneitra province, about 60 kilometers southwest of Damascus, the Syrian state news agency SANA reported.

According to reports, the invading force, consisting of three military vehicles, entered both villages and established a temporary checkpoint between them, in a further violation of the Disengagement Agreement signed between Syria and Israel in 1974.

The day before, Israeli troops also raided the nearby village of Al-Samadaniah Al-Gharbiah, where they set up a checkpoint at a junction connecting to the villages of Al-Mushairifah, Al-Saydah, and Ruwayhinah, in southern Quneitra.

Syrian authorities denounced Israel’s continued aggressive policies against the population of southern Syria, citing incursions, arbitrary arrests, forced displacement, destruction of property, and the devastation of agricultural land—actions Damascus describes as part of a persistent pattern of violations.

Syria reiterated its demand for the complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory and emphasized that all measures imposed by Israel in the south are legally invalid under international law.

Syria also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities, halt the occupier’s practices, and compel Israel to return to full compliance with the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
