Experts noted that the Colombia-China Economic and Trade Observatory (OECCC) could become an essential tool for media outlets, companies, and institutions interested in understanding and leveraging current trends to foster closer cooperation between the two nations.
The first day of the event served as a platform to showcase the existing potential for strengthening ties.
Speaking at the event, Transport Minister Maria Fernanda Rojas commented that the two nations have a strategic alliance and highlighted the possibilities for strengthening ties in infrastructure, sustainable mobility, and logistical connectivity.
She also asserted that her country’s participation in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) opens opportunities for rail, road, port, river, and airport projects that promote competitiveness, regional integration, and clean mobility.
The meeting is being held within the framework of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
