The spokeswoman stated, “The Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry will hold its tenth roundtable of ambassadors on December 11, to which more than 100 heads of missions and representatives of international organizations accredited in Moscow have been invited.”

Zakharova pointed out that the announced topic is “The Ukrainian Crisis: Diplomacy and Prospects for Settlement,” and that the discussion will traditionally be opened by Foreign Minister Lavrov.”

The diplomat also indicated that the Russian foreign minister will speak about Moscow’s efforts for a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis and will also share his assessment of the current situation.

Zakharova concluded, “We hope that the upcoming meeting will again allow for a confidential and constructive dialogue with representatives of the world’s majorities on pressing issues.”
