According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the main topics discussed at the meeting were Infrastructure and Transportation, Digital Connectivity, Disaster Risk Management, Education and Culture, Energy, and Health.
They also addressed the intentions to reactivate cooperation in Public Security, Productive Integration, Cross-Border Integration, and Defense, the latter linked to the Dialogue on Defense Industries in South America, scheduled for December 15.
The coordinators agreed to hold a meeting of High-Level Energy Officials during the first half of 2026.
The 12 countries are also making progress in creating the South American Infrastructure Observatory, as well as in drafting an Air Transport Integration Agreement for the region.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the coordination promoted by Uruguay between the intergovernmental sphere and regional entities and organizations was positively received.
The next meeting of national coordinators is scheduled for December 17, when they will define the priorities for the first half of 2026. In the second half of next year, Uruguay will transfer the rotating presidency of the Brasilia Consensus to Peru.
