Following the attack on Venezuela, social media erupted against Trump

Buenos Aires, Jan 5 (Prensa Latina) Social media erupted in the first 48 hours after the treacherous attack by the United States against Venezuela, with 77% of posts directed against President Donald Trump, according to an analysis by Monitor Digital.

Urgente24 echoes a study of messages and opinions on various platforms regarding the aggression and kidnapping of the legitimate Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduro, in the early hours of Saturday, and three out of four were negative toward the head of the White House.

The majority of the 33,870,400 news posts were issued by men (two out of three), and the connotation was primarily negative toward the US president, noted analyst Diego Corvalan, quoted by Urgente24.

Summarizing the collected data, Corvalan specified that a large part of the world, 77%, expressed a negative online stance regarding the events surrounding Trump.

Alongside the United States, the countries with the most mentions of the conflict are those that have received the most Venezuelan migrants: Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Colombia, and Argentina.

The attacks against military targets and civilian facilities, including hospitals, by US forces prompted changes in public perception of President Nicolas Maduro, as reflected in mainstream media and social media influencers.

The study shows that while radio and television stations, newspapers, and news websites criticized the Venezuelan leader, the general perception of Maduro improved on YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok.
