According to the statistics of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, the stock market stands out in this result, as it registered net income of foreign funds for 254.7 billion dollars, that is, an increase of 73 points year-on-year.

There was also a significant increase in foreign holdings of Chinese bonds and Chinese securities, which expanded 86 percent and 43 percent, respectively.

Previous reports cite high-tech, mergers and acquisitions among the most attractive areas for FDI.

The Asian nation aims to attract more funds from abroad by relaxing regulations, introducing preferential measures and further opening up its market.

The Ministry committed itself to broadening the range of businesses and sectors of interest to companies from other nations last September.
