Bolivia to finish 1,800 pending works due to coup d’état

La Paz, May 3 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia's President Luis Arce announced on Monday that his government will finish at least 1,800 works boosted by former president Evo Morales and paralyzed after the coup in November 2019.

We are completing what was already under construction throughout the country, over 1,800 projects, and then we will start with new works, Arce assured at the ceremony of delivery of the Tomas Katari Educational Unit, in the municipality of Macha, in the north of the department of Potosi.

‘When I took office I found a great debt, but we have been working during all this time and our motto is ‘Work completed, work 100 percent paid too,” he said.

We will fulfill all the commitments made by the Morales administration (2006-2019) because they are for the population’s sake, not only in the cities, but also in rural areas, he ensured.

Arce was accompanied by Vice President David Choquehuanca; the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Freddy Mamani; the ministers of Education, Adrian Quelca; of Government, Eduardo del Castillo; of Cultures, Sabina Orellana; and of the Presidency, Maria Nela Prada, among other authorities.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Education highlighted the construction of the center in a place of great historic importance, in reference to the fact that every year, on this day, one of the most singular millenary traditions of the nation is present in San Pedro de Macha.
