The State industrial sector consists of 103 factories, 54 of which are operational plants and 49 stopped production due to the war, the report said.

The country is working to restore 16 factories affected by war, so that they can return to the production process through an emergency plan implemented by the Reconstruction Committee, the Ministry’s report added.

The document, which contains the reality and prospects of the Syrian industry indicated that the country has 130,000 private industries, 80,000 of which are in operation and 50,000 have stopped production.

The Syrian Government approved a national plan to boost the local industrial sector, including replacing imports with local products.
