On Twitter, Cuba’s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez reported on a recent virtual meeting with South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Naledi Pandor, in which they ratified the commitment to expand ties between the two countries.

On May 11, Havana and Pretoria celebrated the 27th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, ‘in a context of solid and special links of friendship, cooperation and solidarity,’ the CUBAMINREX website referred.

Collaboration over the years included areas such as health, education, science and technology, agriculture, infrastructure development, housing, water and sanitation, public works and telecommunications.
