In a message sent to the Minister of the Interior Lazaro Alberto Alvarez, Lazo assured that for six decades MININT has been a strong bulwark in defense of socialist legality.
The text also refers to the contribution of the institution in the fight against imperialist subversion plans aimed at destroying the national independence and social justice achieved by the Cuban Revolution.
‘In the pages of history that our people have written on national soil or in international missions, there is the blood, heroism and sacrifices of men and women of the people who have integrated or are part of the ranks of that institution,’ Lazo adds in the document.
The message also extends the congratulations and recognition of the Cuban lawmakers to the chiefs and officers, combatants, civilian workers, cadets and auxiliary forces of the different bodies of the Ministry of the Interior.
The parliament also recognizes MININT’s integration in the fight for health and life in the face of Covid-19.
