Bolivia’s president arrives in Venezuela to ALBA-TCP summit

Caracas, June 24 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia's president, Luis Arce, arrived today in Venezuela to participate in the 19th Peoples-of-our-America Bolivarian Alliance- Peoples Trade Treaty Summit (ALBA-TCP).

In this first visit from the Bolivian president to Venezuelan land, after coming in office, he was welcome by Foreign Affairs minister, Jorge Arreaza, in Simon Bolívar International airport, in Maiquetía.

Members of ALCA-TCP will get together this Thursday in this capital to pay homage to the 200th anniversary of the Carabobo Battle and stregthen the realtions between its members, according to what was said by its executive secretary Sacha Lorenti.

Bolivia entered the regional entity after Arce’s coming in office, after being absent for a year due to its check out from the organization during the de facto government lead by Jeanine Anez.

A little more than 7 months of mandate now, the head of government of the Andean state is traveling now for the third time abroad: the first to Brazil for a medical check up and another to Mexico where he met his counterpart Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador.

In recent declarations, Llorenti has said that the states members of the block will ratify their integration will facing the global challenges and the threats to the countries in the area.

‘We work to reaffirm even more our alliance and make a qualitative leap to unity (…) in a context where the United States, allied with the regional oligarchies sabotages the efforts to integration’, he stated.
